Smoothness Simplified
How does laser hair removal actually work?
The laser emits a concentrated beam of light that is absorbed by the pigment in the hair follicle. This light energy converts to heat, safely damaging the follicle to inhibit future hair growth without affecting the surrounding skin.
Is the treatment painful?
Most clients describe the sensation as a light “snap” or a cooling prickle. Our modern equipment features integrated cooling tips that soothe the skin on contact, making the procedure significantly more comfortable than traditional waxing or older laser models.
How many sessions will I need for permanent results?
Hair grows in cycles, and the laser is most effective during the “active” growth phase. To ensure every follicle is treated, we typically recommend a series of 6 to 8 sessions, spaced about 4 to 6 weeks apart depending on the area being treated.
Can all skin tones and hair colors be treated?
Our technology is designed to be safe and effective for a wide range of skin tones. However, because the laser targets pigment, it is most effective on darker hair. It is generally less effective on very light blonde, red, or grey hair.
What should I do to prepare for my appointment?
For the best results, you must shave the treatment area 24 hours before your session. Avoid waxing, plucking, or electrolysis for at least 4 weeks prior, as the hair follicle must be present for the laser to target it. Additionally, avoid direct sun exposure or tanning beds for two weeks before treatment.
